    • Defensive arrangement
      • At the bottom of the cave are slots for palisades (wooden walls).
        • Palisades stop the invading enemies from entering your cave for awhile.
          • This makes them more vulnerable to the warriors.
          • Palisades eventually get destroyed, so you must replace them.
        • Palisades have a base cost of 30 gems.
          • Each upgrade increases their size but costs twice as much as the last.
          • You can upgrade palisades twice.
        • There are 6 slots for palisades.
      • On the top of the cave are platforms for warriors.
        • Each warrior is worth 50 gems.
          • Upgrading your warriors makes their attacks stronger.
          • Warriors have a ramping cost over time as you upgrade them.
        • Warriors may perish if the enemies attack them.
        • There are 3 available platforms for warriors.
  • Powerups
    • Power ups come in 3 forms.
      • Lightning and fire powerups kill large groups of enemies at once.
      • Tornado powerups push the enemy back from your defenses.
    • You can fire powerups several times for a brief time. Keep track of them using the timer on the top center of the screen.
    • They are very expensive and should only be used as a matter of last resort.
      • Power ups come with a ramping costs. You should not rely on them on the early game.
      • The lightning and fire powerups are especially useful in clearing large groups of enemies in the later parts of the game.
  • Scoring
    • Earn points for every enemy you slay.
    • You can view your best score on the game over screen and the bottom center of the welcome screen.
  • Strategy
    • Each time you upgrade an attribute or use a spell the subsequent cost of using it or upgrading it increases, so it is best to use a diverse strategy to maximize your play time.
