• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select play to begin.
  • Below the play button are the following buttons (from left to right):
    • Select the tutorial button to play the tutorial level.
    • Select the shop button to open the game’s shop window.
    • Select the settings button to use the game’s audio controls.
  • Select the enlarge button on the bottom right corner to switch between windowed and full screen modes.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and high score.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Use the space bar to jump.
      • Press and hold down the space bar to charge your jumps off a drop.
        • Use the left arrow key to do a backflip.
        • Use the right arrow key to do a front flip.
        • Repeatedly press either to do more than one flip.
    • You can also left click with your mouse as you would with your fingers to draw forward or backward arc to do backflips or front flips.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
    • Tap once to jump.
    • Tap and hold to charge your jumps off a drop.
      • Draw a clockwise pattern to do a back flip.
      • Draw a counterclockwise pattern to do a front flip.

    • The game has 2 separate sliders for audio effects (speaker icon) and music (note icon).

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • A cutscene plays before the game starts, showing an avalanche approaching the snowman.
    • The snowman automatically moves forward.
    • Jump over obstacles.
      • Obstacles include wood piles and yetis.
      • Yetis move, while wood piles stay still.
      • Hitting obstacles causes you to trip, but won’t be an instant game over.
    • Pick up all the coins you encounter on your way down.
    • Avoid the avalanche.
      • The longer you ski, the more distance you create between you and the avalanche.
      • Each time you trip, the avalanche comes closer.
      • If the avalanche closes in, it’s game over.
  • Scoring
    • You automatically earn points based on how long you ski down the mountain.
    • Earn bonus points by performing tricks.
      • You can perform tricks by jumping and charging.
      • The best time to perform tricks is whey you’re jumping off a sudden drop.
      • The more rolls you make before landing, the better your score.
        • A backflip (or frontflip) is worth 30 points.
        • A double backflip (or frontflip) is worth 80 points.
        • A triple backflip (or frontflip) is worth 160 points.
        • A quadruple backflip (or frontflip) is worth 250 points.
        • Each additional flip is worth a point total based on 100 points times how many flips you do, so a 5-flip is worth 500 pints and a 6-flip is worth 600 points.
    • Earn 100 points for each yeti you land on.
  • Store
    • Each coin icon you collect is worth 10 coins in the store.
    • Use the coins you’ve collected to buy upgrades in the in-game store.
      • You can upgrade jump power and backflip power.
      • Each feature can be upgraded 5 times, with the cost schedule for each being: 200, 400, 600, 750, & 900 coins.
    • 4 other characters are unlocked by hitting specific scores or doing specific things in the game. For example, landing on multiple yeti unlock one character variation.
