Game Play
Basics
This is a match 3 game where when you make a match of 3 or more vertical or horizontal tiles they all merge into a single tile.
Any other adjacent tile also merges along with them. If you made a set of 3 vertical orange tiles but there was an L shape pattern with a fourth orange tile the tiles would all merge together.
When tiles merge they sum to how many tiles were merged together.
If the sum is enough to take on a warrior then the last summed block is also removed from the board.
Whenever blocks are removed new blocks fall in from the top to fill in the grid.
At the top of the game there are a series of warriors of different colors.
When you merged tiles are valued equally or above the warrior of the same color the high-valued tile is removed from the board and the warrior is defeated.
You have six moves to create a valid set.
If you fail to make a valid set within 6 moves it is game over.
When you lose you can try to play the same level again an unlimited number of times.
When you replay a level you will get a new deal to the playing field & will have to defeat a new set of enemies.
Scoring
Each time you make a block set you score points.
Your score is based on how many pieces are paired off and what stage you are on.
Your game score is cumulative. Even when you lose a stage the points earned in the attempt are added to your game score.
Winning vs losing
You win and the level is beat when you have defeated all enemies on it.
You lose if your move counter reaches zero.
This game offers unlimited continues, starting you with a fresh board and move count on whichever level you lost.
Block types
Colored blocks – you can match them by color in sets of 3 or more, vertically or horizontally.
Each time you make a block set you score points.
When you make a set all of the blocks that are part of the set convert into a single block with a number in it, indicating the number of merged blocks.
If you merge a block which already has a number in it then you will add that number to how many other blocks were merged.
As you play through the game & advance to harder levels you get more block colors in levels deeper into the game, making it harder to make matches.
White blocks – similar to colored blocks, though you can not match them.
Bolted blocks – you can not through these blocks & attempts to through them simply push them (and all blocks in that row or column) one square.
Pillar block – you can not through these blocks & you can not push them. They can be matched as part of a set of 3 or more blocks of the same color.
Power Moves
More moves – increases your remaining move count to six.
Tiy are given three credits to use this at the start of play.
Credits do not replenish & are used up even if you die on the level where you used them.
Using this does not count as one of your six moves
Shuffle – shuffles all the blocks.
You are given three credits to use this at the start of play.
Credits do not replenish & are used up even if you die on the level where you used them.
Using this does not count as one of your six moves.
Shift up – This tool move all rows up one, with the top row blocks becoming the bottom row blocks.
You can use this an endless number of times.
Using this does not count as one of your six moves.
Tips
Power Moves
The shift up power up is free to use at any point in time. Shift through it 6 or 7 times in a row or until you create a move with it anytime you feel stuck or as though your piece is in a corner or an area with few move options.
Try not to use the other power ups early in the game as you do not earn additional credits for them.
to look at what types of blocks you are trying to move and what options you have remaining to complete a set before you make even the first move, as a single move in the wrong direction can be all it takes to make it impossible to be able to make a valid set before running out of credit.
