• Starting the Game
  • Press the PLAY button at the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
  • If you have played the game in the past and would like to resume your prior game press the LOAD button to continue the prior game.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Press the right arrow key to jump right.
    • Press the left arrow key to jump left.
    • Press twice to double jump.
      • The time delay between the first and second jump determines how long the double jump will travel.
      • You can also change directions in midair. For instance, you can jump left and then jump back right.
    • If you jump more than twice while in the air you’ll fall straight down from there & then your next jump will land right where you took off from, before you will be able to jump horizontally again.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the right side of the screen to jump right.
    • Tap the left side of the screen to jump left.
    • Tap twice to double jump.

  • Basics
    • This is a simple platforming game where your goal is to avoid obstacles and time your jumps so that you land safely on platforms until you make it to the treasure chest at the end of the stage.
    • Obstacles
      • Some platforms have spikes on them, where you have to land on the portion of the platform that does not have spikes.
      • On some stages spinning saw blades move back and forth. Avoid running into them.
      • When you jump you can’t go through platforms, so sometimes you have to jump away from them and then back toward them if you are trying to make a jump and are under a platform.
    • Platform types
      • Basic fixed platforms: The game starts out with a variety of fixed platforms you can use.
        • If the platforms have spikes on them you must avoid landing on the spikes.
        • Most barrels, stacks of boxes or crates, and other similar items on the ground can also be used as platforms provided they keep you off the ground.
      • Temporary platforms: As you advance through the game some platforms have spinning fans under them.
        • These platforms may remain static, or move up and down slightly.
        • When you land on temporary platforms (or even hit them from the bottom) the temporary platforms quickly fall, so you must get off of them quickly as well.
      • Cycling platforms: Some platforms cycle back and forth depending on your jumps.
        • When platforms are gray you can land on them.
        • When they are outline only you through them.
        • If you are jumping toward a cycling platform you need to do a double jump to land on it if it was gray before you began your jump.
        • If you are jumping toward a cycling platform you need to do a single jump to land on it if it was outline only before your jump.
  • Levels
    • This game has 40 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can’t go back and replay previous levels without restarting the game at the beginning.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by landing in the treasure chest at the end of the stage.
      • You lose if you run into an obstacle or fall onto the floor.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of the level you died on.
  • Tips
    • Bugs
      • In some cases some of the platforms may disappear when you replay a level. If this happens reload the game and then select “LOAD” rather than “PLAY” and you can continue playing the level with the missing platform restored.
      • The two clues that a level is loading with bugs would be either if a platform you knew was there is missing, or if the bottle does not spin when it jumps.
    • Timing double jumps
      • If you press jump and then almost immediately jump again your jump length will be similar to a single jump.
      • If you wait a long time in between the initial jump & then only activate the second jump near the tail end of the first jump you can get much more distance.
      • Timing the double jump is the key to adjusting your distance to ensure you can make it safely from platform to platform.
    • Rhythm & cadence
      • Many levels are similar to each other.
      • In many cases you can make your way quickly through a level by keeping a regular cadence and tapping pattern.
      • The key to beating levels which are more complex is to know where to wait (for sawblade movements) or where to adjust your cadence.
    • Adjusting positioning
      • In some cases your positioning will be off to be able to make the next jump, or a platform will be in your way preventing you from jumping up. In these cases you can jump left, then at the correct time jump back right to adjust your positioning slightly.
      • Another option for adjusting your overall positioning throughout the level is to adjust your jump sequence a bit early in the level. For example, one could jump left at the start of the level to use the far left wall as a barrier & then do your right jumps after landing that.
      • One last option for stopping jumps that would overjump would be to try to turn it into a triple jump. When you hit jump the third time the bottle falls straight down. Be warned that when you use this your next attempt to jump will not move horizontally & you will only be able to move horizontally as expected & under control after landing the next jump attempt.
