• Starting the Game
  • Select the Play button in the lower left to start the game.
  • Near the Play button are buttons for how to play Help, High Scores, and More Games.
  • In the lower left corner of the welcome screen there is a language select dropdown.
  • In the lower right corner of the welcome screen there are buttons for social media sharing and reading game developer information.

  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select a stone & then select an identical stone you can connect with a line to remove the pair from the board.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select a stone & then select an identical stone you can connect with a line to remove the pair from the board.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The game controls are along the bottom of the screen.
      • On the left side the game shows your current level number and cumulative game score.
      • On the right side there are 6 control buttons: control music, control sound, shuffle stones, take a hint, pause game, and switch to full screen mode.
        • You can use the shuffle & hint buttons up to 4 times on any level.
        • Your remaining credits for each are shown in the upper right corner of each button.
• Game Play
  • Matching
    • You can match identical pairs of stones provided they are adjacent, or they can be connected by a line that does not through any other stones and is:
      • vertical
      • horizontal
      • vertical & horizontal, but turns at 90 degrees once or twice
    • Matches must be identical. For example, if there is a big frog and a small frog you can’t match those with each other.
  • Levels
    • This game has 10 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
    • Filling
      • Some Mahjong Slide games fill tiles in a particular direction as you progress through the game.
      • This game does not fill tiles. As you remove stones the remaining stones remain stationary.
    • Autoshuffle
      • When no valid matches remain the game automatically shuffles the remaining stones.
      • This means there is always at least one valid match remaining until the level is cleared.
      • Automated shuffles do not cost you points.
    • Level design
      • As you progress through the game stages have various tile layouts, though all are rectangular.
      • Level 1 has a 4×6 grid of 24 stones, or 12 stone pairs.
      • Level 2 has a 5×6 grid of 30 stones, or 15 stone pairs.
      • Level 3 has a 4×7 grid of 28 stones, or 14 stone pairs.
      • Level 4 has a 6×7 grid of 42 stones, or 21 stone pairs.
      • Level 5 has a 7×8 grid of 56 stones, or 28 stone pairs.
      • Level 6 has a 5×8 grid of 40 stones, or 20 stone pairs.
      • Level 7 has a 5×8 grid of 48 stones, or 24 stone pairs.
      • Level 8 has a 4×9 grid of 36 stones, or 18 stone pairs.
      • Level 9 has a 6×9 grid of 54 stones, or 27 stone pairs.
      • Level 10 has a 8×9 grid of 72 stones, or 36 stone pairs.
  • Scoring
    • Your game score is cumulative across levels.
    • Scoring points
      • Each tile pair you match is worth 100 points.
      • You also earn a level bonus on each stage based on how quickly you clear the board.
    • Spending points
      • Using a hint costs 300 points.
      • Manual shuffles cost 500 points.
      • You can use up to 4 hints and shuffles on each level.
