• Starting the Game
  • Press the green Play button on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Select the green Play button on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels and level ratings.
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right corner, a more games button in the lower left corner, and a game developer info button in the lower right corner.

    • Use your mouse left click button to select a monster. Drag your mouse across the screen to connect to adjacent identical monsters & release the left click button when you are finished drawing your lines.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger and then drag to an adjacent identical monster to connect them.
  • Controls & indicators
    • At the beginning of each level the game shows how many points you need to earn on that level to earn 1, 2, or 3 stars.
    • The upper left corner has a level timer.
    • Your current level score is shown top center.
    • The upper right corner has a pause button. When the game is paused you can resume play, restart the level, or go back to the level select screen.
    • Whenever you beat a level the game shows your most recent score on that level and your all-time best score on that level.
    • The level select screen shows how many of the 108 stars you have collected along with your cumulative game score. Each level has blue stars indicating how many stars you earned on that level.

      • This is a breaker game where you draw lines connecting adjacent tiles.

      • Lines may cross over each other, but you can only go through each monster once.

      • Removing 2 tiles at a time is worth 10 points.
      • Removing 3 tiles at a time is worth 30 points.
      • Removing 4 tiles at a time is worth 60 points.
      • Removing 5 tiles at a time is worth 100 points.
      • Removing 6 tiles at a time is worth 180 points.
      • Each additional tile in a sequence is worth an additional 30 points.
    • Time
      • Each level has a timer on it.
      • When the timer reaches zero you are done making moves.
      • Partially completed lines do not count when the timer reaches zero, so release early if the timer is getting close to zero.
  • Levels
    • This game has 36 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back to previously beat levels to try to earn a better star rating on them.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You lose a level if the timer runs out before you score the minimum number of points needed to earn a star.

      • Each stage consists of a 5×7 playing board with 35 monster pieces on it.
      • Gameplay is similar across levels with the following aspects changing:
        • level time limit (typically 1 minute to 90 seconds, but can go for more a couple minutes or more as you get up into the higher levels)
        • required score to earn stars (each star is 500 above the prior star rating, but the number of points needed for a 1-star rating changes from level to level)
        • the number of unique monster colors shown (fewer monster types makes it easier to make longer matches)
  • Tips
    • Typically it makes sense to make long tile matches of at least 6 to maximize your score from each move.
      • Making longer matches scores more points.
      • Creating longer matches creates more empty spaces for other monsters to fall into to help you make more matches.
    • If you miss a monster keep moving as quickly as possible to complete a match and make your next set, as you do not have a move count limit & each stage has a time limit.
    • If you get fewer than 3 stars on a level keep on playing through to complete the rest of the game and then come back to try to earn a better score on levels where you earned fewer stars.
