• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the top right corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • The game is narrated. We recommend keeping the sound on if you are playing the game for the first time.

    • With your mouse, left click to select.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to select.

    • Home button: Quits the game mode and returns you to the x screen

  • Game modes
    • There are two modes in this game:
      • Learn Mode introduces you to 18 kinds of birds.
      • Play Mode has you guess the birds’ names based on their description and picture.
    • Choose one of the modes from the mode selection screen to begin.
  • Basic rules
    • Learn Mode
      • Choose any of the 6 birds shown onscreen to learn about them.
        • A popup window will appear showing the bird’s name and description.
        • Select the X button on the top right corner of the popup to close it.
      • Browse through more birds by selecting the arrows on the middle left and middle right edges of the screen.
    • Play Mode
      • This is a basic quiz game that asks you to identify the bird pictured based on the image and description provided.
        • The bird itself is shown on the lower left.
        • On the lower right is the question and two choices.
      • You begin each session with a popup window that says “Let’s guess this bird!”
        • Select the X button on the top right corner to close the popup.
      • Select the choice you think identifies the bird.
        • If you are correct, the win screen appears.
        • If you are incorrect, try again.
      • On the win screen, select the next button to load another question.
      • Answer as many questions as you want.
