• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap anywhere onscreen to begin.
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button to begin.
    • Select the hints switch below the play button to turn the game’s hints on or off.
  • On the top right corner of the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s audio effects on and off.

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • The playing field is a 4 x 4 grid.
      • The top left corner consists of a 3 x 3 grid consisting of 8 blanks and a central number.
      • Each row, column, and a single diagonal line represents an equation, with the numbers on the bottom and right sides consisting their sums and differences.
    • Drag and drop the numbers from the table on the right side onto the grid to complete the equations shown.
    • Select the check button to see if you’ve got everything right.
      • If you’re wrong, the numbers return to the grid and you’ll have start over.
      • If you got everything right, you win.
  • Hints
    • Hints can be turned on or off on the welcome screen.
    • When the hints are on, the correct numbers will briefly flash on the spaces.
  • Lives
    • You start the game with 3 lives.
    • Each time you solve the puzzle incorrectly, you lose a life.
    • If you run out of lives, the game ends.
• Tips
  • The game plays like a more complex version of sudoku.
    • Placing the numbers is a matter of elimination and logic.
    • The rules on number placement, however, depend on what numbers lead to the sum or difference shown on the end.
  • To help you out, use a piece of paper or a word processor file to keep track of everything.
  • List down all the equations and the numbers that could lead to the results.
    • This will narrow down the identities of the numbers in the spaces.
    • You can then compare the equations to determine which number should go where.
  • Working on rows or columns that already have multiple numbers given and the solution makes it easy to calculate the missing number.
    • The process can be repeated as you work your way through the puzzle.
  • If you see that the solution is equal to a given number, then you know you will need to have a pair of numbers added and subtracted to get that solution.
    • If you have a single pair of identical number tiles you know those are the tiles that go in that row, column, or diagonal.
  • If numbers work in a row or column (but not in the opposite direction) then sometimes you can simply swap the order of tiles in a row or column so that the opposite direction also works.
    • You can repeatedly swap out tiles & do not lose lives for errors unless you select the check button while the level shows an error.
