• Starting the Game
  • Press the golden yellow PLAY button on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Press the green and white PLAY button on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including completed levels and level ratings.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button.

    • Tap your mouse left click button and drag your mouse across the screen to set your shot strength and angle. Release to shoot the fireball.
    • You do not need to click or tap directly on the fireball. You can start from any point on the screen when setting your aim, though should not start too close to an edge you intend to pull toward.

    • Tap the screen with a finger and drag to set your shot strength and angle. Release to fire.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner shows how many fireballs you have remaining.
    • The top center shows what level number you are playing.

  • Basics
    • This is an Angry Birds inspired game where players fling a fire across the screen like they are shooting a cannon or slingshot.
      • The goal of the game is to “rescue” the ice girl by melting all the molten lava balls.
    • Fireballs
      • You are given 3 fireballs to beat each stage.
      • Some stages can be beat using a single fireball, while others are exceptionally hard to beat with fewer than 2 or 3 fireballs.
      • You earn a star rating on each stage based on how many fireballs you use. A single fireball earns you 3 stars, 2 fireballs grants you 2 stars, and using all 3 fireballs is worth a star.
    • Stages contain a variety of unique features including buttons, ice sheets, laser beams, metal balls hanging from chains, and dynamite.
      • Buttons – press them to clear away ice sheets.
        • Your shot can also bounce off them.
      • Ice sheets – these often block access to a path & require you to hit a button first.
        • On some stages you have to hit the buttons to beat them, whereas on other stages you want to avoid hitting the buttons to make destroying all the molten lava easier.
      • Laser beams – you have to time your shots to avoid touching the laser beams or else they will melt your fireballs.
      • Metal balls – you can hit the chain to break the balls free.
        • Hitting the balls can make them fly into molten lava, which also destroys the lava balls.
        • Hitting the chain (even after the ball has been knocked loose) instantly destroys your fireball.
      • Dynamite – they explode upon landing, which destroys nearby molten lava.
  • Levels
    • This game features 30 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels anytime.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by clearing away all the molten lava.
      • You lose a level if you run out of fireballs before clearing away all the lava.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of any failed level.
  • Tips
    • The fireballs are not perfectly round, so you can not depend on them rolling smoothly. This means that slightly different shots can have big impacts on outcomes.
    • As some stages are much harder than others you can beat them with a single star rating and then only come back to them later after completing the game.
    • It is often worth trying to make the hardest shots earliest in each stage so that if you miss you can quickly restart the level.
    • You can bounce shots off of the buttons to angle them up into other items & get dual use out of a fireball which strikes a button.
    • If molten lava is just behind a high wall you may need to do an exceptionally high arching shot over the wall to hit it, or ricochet your shot off a back wall back toward where you were shooting from.
    • When using the guide dots for aiming be sure to leave a bit of clearance on the sides to avoid bumping into walls you do not intend to hit.
