• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the music button on the bottom right corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • The number of levels you’ve unlocked are shown above the play button on the welcome screen.

  • Basic rules
    • You begin with a set of immobile main gears and at least one more gear to the sides.
      • Only one of the gears is spinning.
      • The gears that aren’t spinning or bolted down can be moved around.
      • You must connect all the gears so they engage and move.
    • Move all the gears until the two gears at the top and bottom are engaged.
      • Left click or tap on a gear to select it.
      • Drag and drop the selected gear into the desired spot.
    • You must use all the gears to finish the level before the timer runs out.
      • You have 120 seconds (1 minute 30 seconds) to finish the puzzle.
      • If you run out of time, you fail the level.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 levels, which are unlocked sequentially.
    • Each time you reload the game, you automatically start at the latest level you unlocked.
  • Tips
    • The gear shows red if you place it in a place it does not fit.
      • If other gears which you can move are in your way it can make sense to move them out of the way off to the side so you can focus on matching up with the fixed gears correctly.
    • Gear size
      • Some levels consist of many small gears, while other stages may also have large gears which are even located partially off screen.
      • Generally it makes sense to place the larger gears first as those help you cover the most ground & have the fewest play opportunities.
    • Start connecting your path from the initial moving gear to other gears.
      • You won’t know if the other connections are valid unless there is rotational force going into them.
      • In some cases gears can get stuck. Selecting the gear and slightly moving it, or simply selecting and releasing can clear the stuck gears.
      • All fixed gears must connect through some path to the initial moving gear, but not all gears must connect back around into a closed loop.
      • Rather than making a straight line sometimes you need to curve the gear alignments so that you can get closer to two parallel paths with a single gear that must connect multiple different branches.
