      • in many locations there is an item by itself in one spot and 2 of that item in another spot
      • bright spots near a light or other such visual cues surrounding an item can impact its value
      • on one level a table has 4 legs in one location and 3 legs in another
      • if an item is turned upside down that means it is negative
      • the number of spots on a soccer ball can impact its numerical value
      • some items can be combined into a sum
        • a man wearing a necktie and sunglasses would be valued as the sum of the value of the man, the necktie, and the glasses
      • some stages have 2 separate numerical patterns which alternate numbers rather than a singular pattern
