• Starting the Game
  • Press the red and white play button in the center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked seqeuntially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The bottom center of the welcome screen shows how many levels you have unlocked.
  • The lower right corner of the welcome screen has a settings button for resetting your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select the ping pong ball, then drag your mouse across the screen to set your aim and force.
    • Release the left click button to throw the ball.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger & drag your finger across the screen to aim, then lift to throw the ball.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen shows star rating in yellow, balls you need to land in a cup in red, and remaining balls in white.
    • The level number you are currently playing is shown top center.
    • The upper right corner has 3 buttons for return home, level select, and restart level.
    • The welcome screen shows how many levels you have unlocked.
    • The level select screen shows how many levels you beat and the best star rating earned on each stage.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a ball bouncing physics puzzle game where you set the aim and force to try to get the balls into the cup.
      • You are given 5 balls to beat each stage & must land at least 3 balls in the cup.
      • You can drop balls straight into the cup, arch the ball into the cup, or bounce the ball off of fixed or moving platforms.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Star ratings
      • You can earn up to a 3-star rating on each stage.
      • You earn stars by running into them with the balls.
      • You only keep the star rating earned by hitting the stars if you also satisfy the criteria to beat the level.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by landing 3 balls in the red cup.
      • You lose if you run out of balls without landing 3 in the cup.
      • You can replay a level an unlimited number of times.
  • Tips
    • Force
      • When you are aiming below you do not need to use much force.
        • In many cases using excess force will cause the ball to have too much speed coming off a ramp and overshoot the target.
      • When you need to have the ball bounce into a cup you often need to use a lot of force to get it into the cup, particularly if the platform is above where you throw the ball from.
    • Strategy
      • Some levels have complex designs where you need to get the ball to change directions, can only hit rotating platforms when they are in a specific orientation, must avoid moving platforms, or must only hit specific platforms while not touching other platforms.
        • If you are uncertain how to beat a level you can try many different strategies until something looks close to working and then adjust until it works.
        • After the first ball works you can then repeat the same shot after each ball goes in the cup.
      • Some stages work better with a more straight shot with hard force, while other levels work better with a high arch shot.
      • On levels with moving platforms you can use the positioning a platform was in when a shot worked to guide your next shot (provided you use a similar force and angle on the subsequent shot).
    • Stars
      • Some levels have hard to reach stars which require you to shoot with extreme precision, or to waste a ball that will not go into the cup.
        • If you are struggling to beat a stage skip the out of way stars & try to get them on a subsequent play.
        • If you can easily beat a stage be sure to collect all the stars before getting the third ball into the cup, as the stage is completed when 3 balls land in the cup, even if you have balls left over.
      • If you beat a level with fewer than 3 stars keep playing through the game to the next level & then come back to replay low rated levels after all levels have been completed.
        • If you replay a level without advancing to the next level first you will not unlock the next stage until you beat the current level again & go to the next stage from the level beat screen.
      • Your new star rating only replaces the old star rating if it is higher.
    • Aiming
      • The aim indicator tends to be slightly higher than the ball’s actual path, so you need to aim a bit higher for the ball to clear obstacles.
      • The level designs have platforms on them & the game has a dot matrix in the background.
      • You can use almost anything on the screen as a reference point for where your mouse should end up to make a shot, or where the firing indicators must be.
        • Your mouse cursor or any point on your firing line can be aligned with something on the screen (an edge of a platform, a platform , your remaining balls indicator, your star rating indicator, etc.) to shoot at a specific force and angle.
