In this clone of Flappy Birds, your job is to guide the kitten in the steampunk jet pack across many columns. The jet pack is flimsy and only puffs up enough steam to keep the cat airborne with each tap. You must navigate through the columns without hitting any of them, which is no easy task.
You have very little lead time between each of the columns. Thus, you must judge fast before tapping. Higher columns demand more taps in rapid succession. Lower columns demand more time between taps.
Just like the Flappy Bird game, FlapCat Steampunk makes you guide your cat through gaps. Instead of green pipes, this has brown pillars as obstacles throughout the game. The goal is to keep your steampunk cat floating safely through each pillar. The controls are simple. Tap the screen or press the up arrow key to keep the cat afloat. Be careful tapping too much though. If your cat hits it’s head, it’s game over. Just the same, if your cat touches the lower part of the pillar, the game ends.
For starters, you have to figure out how frequently you need to tap to get your cat across. You’ll need to tap more when a gap is located higher. If a gap is suddenly lower, you must wait a bit before tapping again. This way, your cat won’t hit it’s head on the top pillar.
This is a nice and stimulating game to the time. It’s also fun to play it with friends. Take turns and see who can keep the cat alive the longest.
