• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
  • Select the gear button on the top left corner to turn the game’s music and sound effects on or off.
  • Select the store button on the top right corner to unlock and equip new balls.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click and drag to dig.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap and swipe on the screen with your fingers to dig.
  • Controls and indicators
    • The reset button is found on the top left corner. Use this to start the level all over again.
      • At the start of the level, this space is instead occupied by the home button. The home button takes you back to the welcome screen.
    • The level number and star rating are found on the top center of the screen.

  • Basic rules
    • Dig a hole to bring down the basketball to the hoop.
      • You can only dig in the highlighted area shown onscreen.
      • You cannot dig through planks.
      • The ball can only roll down. Consider this when drawing a path for the ball.
    • Collect as many of the stars down the level as possible.
      • To pick up the stars, have the ball by them.
    • All the balls in the level must reach the hoop at the bottom.
  • Level features and hazards
    • Features
      • Bombs
        • Bombs can ricochet balls upwards to reach places where they don’t normally reach.
        • Trigger bombs by driving them to a plank.
      • Rocks
        • Rocks roll like the balls do.
        • Digging beneath a rock alongside the ball will often provide it with a nudge.
      • Pipes
        • Pipes redirect balls upward.
        • To get enough momentum to go up high, make sure that the hole you make for the ball to is as vertical as you can make it.
      • Propellers
        • Propellers need a counterweight to turn around.
        • Use the ball to move the propeller.
    • Hazards
      • Spikes
        • Spikes will pop the ball if it makes .
        • Ideally, you should dig around them so the balls never make .
      • Boards
        • Loose boards act as obstacles for your ball.
        • You must find a way to make the boards fall along with the ball without impeding it, or create your paths so the ball falls but the board gets stuck.
      • Walls and boxes
        • These basically stop the ball in its tracks.
        • You must find a way to dig around them.
  • Levels
    • The game has 50 levels which are unlocked in sequence.
      • Finish one level to unlock the next.
    • The last level you’ve unlocked will be immediately playable each time you reload a ball.
      • To load the next level, select Next.
      • To replay the level, select Play Again.
    • Levels are not timed.
    • You beat a level by getting all balls through the hoop.
      • Other objects like boards and rocks can also travel through the hoop without adversely impacting your level status.
  • Balls
    • You can unlock balls with the cash you’ve earned from completing each level.
    • To unlock them, select Unlock Random. this will cost you cash.
      • The cost increases with each roll you make.
      • You can unlock a maximum of 9 balls.
      • Other balls include Earth, an emoticon, a worn out basketball, a beach ball, a watermelon, a donut, a cookie, and a soccer ball.
  • Digging
    • You dig a fairly wide path whenever you dig in this game.
    • You can’t make the path narrower than the default dig, but you can make it wider by making multiple dig paths in parallel.
    • You get an unlimited amount of digging credits to use on each level, but when a ball has fallen down the stage it is typically impossible to get it to move back upward without starting the level over.
    • On some paths you can start from the bottom and work backward so that the ball has a lot of momentum when it moves & so the screen moving as the ball falls does not throw off your dig.
