• Starting the Game
  • Press the neon green and brown button in the lower center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels and level ratings.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button.
    • The lower left has buttons for game developer information and erasing your game progress.
    • The lower right has buttons for in-game achievements & more games.
• Game Controls

    • Press the left arrow key to move left.
    • Press the right arrow key to move right.
    • You can also use your mouse to left click on either the left or right side of the screen to move, though controls are not as granular as the arrow keys.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on-screen controls.
      • The button to move left is in the lower left corner.
      • The button to move right is in the lower right corner.

  • Basics
    • This is a platformer game where you play as a bouncing basketball.
    • Move across fixed and moving platforms, and try to collect all 3 stars on each stage.
      • Watch out for the golden bricks which break & disappear after you bounce on them once.
      • When you are on horizontally moving platforms you have to move horizontally as well, as they move without you while you are bouncing.
    • Avoid running into any spikes or sharp objects, as they’ll pop the ball.
  • Levels
    • This game has 21 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win a stage by safely ing through the basket.
      • You lose a stage by popping the ball on a spike or other sharp object.
      • In some cases you can get the ball stuck to where you can’t make it through the exit. When this happens press the level restart button.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of the level you lost.
    • Star ratings
      • Each star your basketball touches is worth a star.
      • You can earn up to 3 stars on each level, for a total of 63 stars in the game.
      • You have to safely through the basket for the collected stars to count.
      • If you replay a level your new star rating only replaces the old rating if the new rating is higher.
    • Achievements
      • The game has a medals screen. Achievements include:
        • Beat 1, 4, 9, 12, 15, 18, and all 21 levels.
        • Collect 6, 18, and all 63 stars.
  • Tips
    • Star ratings
      • If you score fewer than 3 stars on a level keep playing through the game & then come back to the level to try to earn a better rating after completing all 21 stages.
      • Whenever you load a level the stars can be in varied locations, along with some of the floating spike balls.
        • In some cases the positioning makes it easy to collect all 3 stars.
        • In other cases the stars are out of reach, making collecting them impossible.
        • If you are playing to try to earn a 3-star rating keep restarting the stage until you get a good layout which makes it easy to collect all 3 stars.
    • Break down the level
      • Levels are not timed, so it makes sense to take your time beating them.
      • Some levels have areas where a series of tight moves are required & areas where you can rest.
      • Break down complex level designs into a series of smaller chunks where you can rest in between them to have better timing on the next portion of the stage.
    • Jump timing
      • Stars and platforms can move, while some fixed platforms have floating spikes around them.
      • If you are about to jump onto a breaking platform or on a platform with a dangerous object rotating around it be sure you are thinking one step ahead and have your dismount jump to the next location timed before jumping into the dangerous area.
    • Nothing but rim!
      • The level does not end until the ball goes through the basket.
      • If you missed a nearby star or one is located on the other side of the rim you can intentionally repeatedly bounce the ball off the rim to position the ball to collect that star & then shoot the ball through the basket.
