• Starting the Game
  • Press the play button in the lower right corner to bring up the level select screen.
    • All levels are unlocked initially.
    • Levels get more difficult as you progress through the game.
  • Left of the PLAY button is a planes button where you can use collected stars to purchase other skins.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen shows how many balloons you have collected, how many stars you have left, and a settings button which reveals music and sound control buttons.

    • Press your mouse left click button to pull back on the controls and spin the plane counterclockwise.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to pull back on the controls and spin the plane counterclockwise.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left of the screen shows how many balloons you have collected and how many stars you have saved up.
    • The upper right of the screen has buttons for sound control and music control.
    • The plane select screen shows which planes you have already purchased.

  • Basics
    • This is a simple flying game were your job is to run into all the red balloons while avoiding the clouds.
    • You only have a single control – pulling back on the joystick, which causes the plane to spin counterclockwise.
      • Press and hold to make a steep turn.
      • Tap intermittently to make smaller adjustments.
      • You can fly upside down & can bounce off the edges of the screen.
  • Cloud types
    • There are 3 types of clouds in this game: gray, blue, and gold.
    • Gray clouds are stationary.
    • Blue clouds move side to side or up and down in a regular pattern.
    • Gold clouds have a countdown clock atop them.
      • When the clock reaches zero the gold clouds shoot out lightning in the area below.
      • There is a status meter on the clouds while they are shooting lightning. When it completes you then have another
  • Levels
    • This game has 31 levels.
      • You can play the levels in any order, though should generally play them in order as they get more difficult as you progress through the game.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by collecting all the red balloons on it.
      • You lose a level if you run into a cloud or the storm under a golden cloud.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Planes
    • In addition to the red plane which is available at the start of the game there are 4 other planes you can buy.
      • The blue plane costs 25 stars.
      • The light blue plane costs 50 stars.
      • The green plane costs 50 stars.
      • The gray jet costs 100 stars.
    • After a plane is unlocked you can switch back and forth between them at any time.
      • The plane differences are purely cosmetic rather than functional differences.
    • Each stage typically has one or two stars on it that you can collect.
      • You keep the stars collected on each stage even if you die on that stage.
  • Tips
    • Starting levels
      • Some stages start you off well aligned to grab multiple balloons without requiring any movements. When this is possible go with it – though typically most levels are not aligned in such a way.
      • Most levels are aligned in such a way that they require you to make a quick move to collect balloons and/or avoid clouds.
    • Ease into turns
      • In this game you can only pull back on the flightstick, meaning there is no way to gently ease down in the other direction, so it makes sense to under-turn and then adjust your turn more as you get closer to the target.
      • By lightly tapping repeatedly you have more fine controls over your turns & can even get the plane moving on a rather flat path.
    • Collecting patterns
      • It often makes sense to save the hardest balloon for last and do the easiest ones first, since what happens to your plane after collecting the last balloon does not matter.
      • In some cases it is better to collect balloons diagonally rather than on horizontal lines, particularly if the level has many gray clouds on it or some moving clouds in tight positions.
      • When balloons are close to clouds it often makes sense to try to collect them coming from the wide side and approach the balloon rather than riding a tight line near the clouds.
      • Some balloons which are vertically aligned are best to collect while moving almost straight up and down, & then reset your path after each through.
    • Boundaries
      • Typically your plane will bounce off the edges of the screen and come out at 90 degree angle from the angle you were traveling going into it.
      • In some cases the plane can get stuck near the edge of the screen. When this happens pause the game, hit the home button, and then click back on the level number you were playing to reload the level.

  • The game is suited for players who love dogs or like simple flying games.
