• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Start below the title of the game to begin.
  • The game will show you a brief tutorial page to discuss the key mechanics of the game.
    • Select Start on the lower right corner to start the game.
  • Toggle the game’s audio by selecting the sound button on the upper right corner.
  • Select the x button on the upper right corner to return to the welcome screen.

    • Using your mouse, left click to whack.

• Game Play
  • Basic
    • You have 60 seconds to smash as many pumpkins as you can.
      • Each stage has a point quota. To move onto the next level, your score must meet or sur this threshold.
    • Hit the various carved pumpkins with the mallet as they emerge from the holes in the pumpkin patch.
      • Hitting most pumpkins will net you 10 points.
      • Pumpkins with candy will net you 20 points.
      • The tall pumpkin with no green at the bottom nets you 50 points.
      • The pumpkin which is shriveled at the top adds 10 seconds to your time.
      • You can only hit a pumpkin once.
    • Try to hit the pumpkins as fast as you can. They will retract back to the patch quickly.
    • Avoid hitting the guys dressed as rutabagas
      • Each time you hit them, you lose 10 seconds on the clock.
      • The rutabaga guys appear regularly from the second level onwards.
    • Level goals
      • There are 7 levels.
      • Each level has a point goal.
      • The goals are: 300, 600, 1200, 1800, 2400, 3200, and 4000.
      • After completing the seventh level the game ends.
  • Strategy
    • Your score carries over from level to level.
      • Earn as many points as you can early in the game.
      • You can have level goals beat based on points scored from prior levels.
    • Avoid losing precious time
      • Be careful with what you hit when there are too many rutabaga guys out at once.
    • Which pumpkins to hit?
      • You can typically hit 3 to at most 4 pumpkins per round.
      • If there are more pumpkins than you can hit try to go for the ones with candy first or the tall skinny ones first to score more points.
    • Accidentally ending the game
      • If you are moving the cursor rather quickly it is quite easy to accidentally close out of the game in the upper right corner.
